There is a story to be told everywhere you go, the hard part is capturing it. Street photography is one of the most complicated forms of photography for me. I am used to the slow changing landscape where I can take my time to adjust and reposition. However, with street photography, it's now or never. Things are happening everywhere all the time and if you're not ready or quick enough, you will miss the moment.
I began to shoot street photography on a visit to San Francisco. I carried my camera everywhere I went in search for some interesting landscape images, but what I found was that the people were more interesting. So, my camera began to focus on them. At first I was intimidated because I was invading their personal space, but soon I realized that they didn't even notice or care.
I now have a collection of images I will call 'the street'.
